Effect of anti-freezing admixtures on alkali-silica reaction in mortars

摘要
The influence of anti-freezing admixture on the alkali aggregate, reaction in mortar was analyzed with accelerated methods. It is confirmed that the addition of sodium salt ingredients of anti-freezing admixture accelerates the alkali silica reaction to some extent whereas calcium salt ingredient of reduces the expansion of alkali silica reaction caused by high alkali cement. It is found that the addition of the fly ash considerable suppreses the expansion of alkali silica reaction induced by the anti-freezing admixtures.
