摘要
Vegetative fossils of Fitzroya (Cupressaceae) are described from four locations in Tasmania spanning the Early Oligocene to Early Miocene. These fossils are assigned to a single species, Fitzroya acutifolius, and previous names given to these fossils, Fitzroya tasmanensis and Dacrycarpus acutifolius, are synonymised. These fossils indicate a long history for the genus in Tasmania, but while the foliage size is quite variable, only one species is recognised. (C) 2003 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
