He-4 fragments from the N-14+C-12 collision at 35 MeV/nucleon and clustering in colliding nuclei

摘要
In order to study effects of clustering of colliding nuclei in the fragmentation process, the fragmentation of the N-14 + C-12 reaction at 35 MeV/nucleon is analyzed by antisymmetrized molecular dynamics. It is found that He-4 fragments from C-12 fragmentation are much more abundant than those from N-14 fragmentation. Characters of He-4 fragments from C-12 fragmentation are investigated and it is found that this abundance in C-12 fragmentation results from the three-alpha breakup in a short time scale where the excited states with excitation energy 7-15 MeV play an important role.
