摘要
Large KDP and DKDP crystals with linear sizes up to 55 cm were grown at growth rates of 12-15 mm/day along z-axis using continuous filtration. The design of a system which can operate without spontaneous nucleation at supersaturations as high as 20% is described. The importance of using continuous filtration for optical quality of the crystals is demonstrated. Crystals grown this way have extremely low dislocation densities, a high level of optical homogeneity and high damage threshold. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
