摘要
Transit condition is one of the most important conditions in the safety assessment of the self-elevated platform. Inertia load must be considered in this condition. Usually, the determination of the inertia load is carried out by an assumption of simple harmonic motion. But it is unknown whether this assumption is reliable. RAOs of the platform are solved by direct numerical method of linear potential theory in order to predict the inertia load. Then the prediction results are compared with the assumption. The assumption method is a conservative method.
