Influences of temperament on the intensity of parent-adolescent conflict

摘要：
Associations between aspects of temperament of 10-13 year-old children and the intensity of parent-child conflicts were investigated. Higher conflict intensity was associated with higher levels of general physical activity and lower levels of adaptability to new situations. Based on the goodness-of-fit perspective, we identified aspects of parental behavior that moderate the influence of adolescents' temperament on conflict intensity. Moderator effects were found for paternal, but not maternal behavior.
