摘要
After a long hiatus, integrated geological and geophysical studies resumed in the western South China Sea. The research was carried out on cruise 88 of the R/V Akademik M.A. Lavrentiev. The results of onboard geophysical works were supplemented with data from global magnetometry and satellite altimetry databases. Structural-density modeling of the earth's crust in the transition zone from the Indochina Peninsula to the deep-water basin of the South China Sea has been carried out. Seismic profiles of different depths were used to determine the reference boundaries in the modeling. The obtained section of the crust reflects all the features of the deep structure of the studied region.
