摘要
The article presents numerical study of interaction between elongated steel cylindrical projectiles and orthotropic composite plates at the velocity of 2000 m/s. Simulation is performed by finite element method in three-dimensional statement in the framework of phenomenological approach of the continuum mechanics with the use of the software package developed by the authors. The influence of the composite elastic and strength properties orientation on the plate fracture and the projectile behavior in the process of penetration is studied. It is found that variation of orientation of the barrier anisotropic material properties in relation to the impact results in qualitative and quantitative variation in the fracture propagation process occurring in the barrier. At the same time, unlike in the case of static loads, the principal effect is caused by the wave processes and dependence of the velocity of compression and release wave propagation on the direction in anisotropic material.
