摘要
In a dispersive fiber, non-linear cross-talk arises from the interaction between sub-carrier of one wavelength and optical carrier of another wavelength. In this paper detailed theoretical analysis for cross-talk between the channels of sub carrier wavelength-division multiplexed (SCM-WDM) in case of Pulse code modulated optical communication systems have been reported. In such a system, cross-talk can be attributed to SRS & XPM combined with group velocity dispersion. Moreover, the XPM induced cross-talk has been evaluated by including the influence of higher order dispersion. The cross-talk has been evaluated by including the impact of SRS (Stimulated Raman Scattering) and XPM (Cross Phase Modulation).
