摘要
In Hong Kong, there are many construction sites where contractors are implementing their safety programmes inadequately. There are problems/difficulties causing such inefficiency in implementation. 28 building and civil engineering contractors (mostly large/ international contractors) in Hong Kong participated in a survey in which the contractors' opinions in implementing site safety programmes were solicited. Firstly, the problems/difficulties encountered in their site safety schemes were identified. Secondly, opinions on possible methods for improving the present unsatisfactory situation were obtained. Recommendations are then made based on the results of the survey. Possible further investigation works are also suggested.
