摘要：

When power is transmitted by belt based power transmission systems transverse vibration of the belt occurs. In this paper a technique that facilitates the correlation of frequency domain features of power transmission belt transverse vibration with events that occur within belt transmission systems is proposed. The technique is applied in order to investigate amplitude modulation of transverse vibration in a belt span of a flat belt. The conclusion of this investigation is that a peak in the amplitude of a modulated spectral component of the transverse vibration in the span coincides with the passage of the joint belt past the system pulleys.
