Novel superplasticity of supercooled liquid for bulk amorphous alloys

摘要
The finding of new bulk amorphous alloys with large glass-forming ability and wide supercooled liquid region before crystallization has enabled the research on the deformation behavior of the supercooled liquid. As a result, it was found that the supercooled liquid has a high strain-rate sensitivity exponent of 1.0, extremely large elongations reaching about 150000 % and ultrahigh strain-rate superplasticity of 1x10(6) s(-1) which have not been obtained for any crystalline alloys. The excellent superplastic characteristics are promising for future development as a new type of superplastic metallic material.
