Excitation mechanisms of capillary waves produced in a strongly absorbing liquid by a modulated laser beam

摘要
Sequential changes of the predominant mechanism for capillary wave excitation and for liquid surface deformation with increasing laser intensity have been studied. The convective Marangoni motion reduces the surface temperature and shifts the onset of the evaporational recoil pressure mechanism to relatively high laser intensities.
