The treatment of canine otitis externa with propolis

摘要：
After an initial study of the composition and action of propolis, a product of honey bees, a report was produced on the treatment of otitis externa in 51 clogs. Following the local application, one per day for seven days either with a 7% propolis-castor oil or a propolisglycerol mixture, 42 dogs were cured; 7 dogs required a further 7 days treatment. In a further dog, 14 days of treatment resulted in a uni-lateral cure, and no effect was observed in only one bilaterally affected clog.
