Functional, structural and morphological property of green synthesized silver nanoparticles using azadirachta indica leaf extract

摘要
The development of a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach is necessary due to climate changes. The green synthesis method is the best alternative to prepare silver (Ag) nanoparticles, paying great attention due to the physical and chemical properties. In this study, Ag nanoparticles were synthesized from the leaf extracts of azadirachta indica (neem) at room temperature. The formation of silver nanoparticles was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffractometer (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques. FTIR spectrum exhibits the reducing biomolecules within the plant leaf extract. The average crystalline size 57.04 nm was calculated using Debye's Scherrer's formula by the XRD pattern. SEM micrograph shows the spherical shape nanoparticles with less agglomerations. (C) 2021 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
