摘要
In addition to medical disability, the concept of work ability also includes several other elements such as working conditions and work tasks, as well as socioeconomic and motivational factors. Futhermore, there are many features inherent in construction work which have to be taken into consideration when individual work ability is assessed. They include physically heavy work, seasonal variation of working conditions, high unemployment rate, constantly changing work sites, short periods of employment and high risk of accidents. This report gives an account of the results of two research projects concerned with the issue of work ability assessment of construction workers.
