Sintering characteristics and microwave dielectric properties of low-temperature-fired (1-x)Li3Mg2NbO6-xLi2WO4 ceramics

摘要
Herein, low-temperature-fired (1-x)Li3Mg2NbO6-xLi(2)WO(4) (0 <= x <= 0.15) ceramics are prepared by traditional solid-state sintering method, and their sintering characteristics, microstructure, and microwave dielectric properties are systematically investigated. The research reveals that an optimal amount of Li2WO4 (x=0.025) could decrease the sintering temperature and improve the microwave performance of Li3Mg2NbO6. However, the excessive amount of sintering aid results in the formation of secondary phases, which affects the samples' dielectric constant (epsilon(r)), quality factor (Q x f), and resonant frequency temperature coefficient (tau(f)). The results demonstrate that the sample with composition of 0.975 Li3Mg2NbO6-0.025Li(2)WO(4) and sintered at 925 degrees C renders desirable dielectric properties: epsilon(r) =15.26, Q x f = 63307 GHz and tau(f) = - 13.78 ppm /degrees C. This material has a broad application prospect in low-temperature co-firing ceramic microwave devices.
