THE COMPETENCE OF THE FUTURE: CREATIVITY OF STUDENTS OF SELECTED CRACOW UNIVERSITIES

Creativity is nowadays defined as a competence of the future which conditions effective and satisfying activity in many dimensions. In the Polish education system, great emphasis is placed on developing creativity in pupils. In our study, we wanted to examine the level of creativity competence among students aspiring to become teachers, doctors, engineers, artists and theologians. To achieve our research goal, we chose the survey method, which made use of a custom-made questionnaire form. This made it possible to promptly collect abundant data from 504 university students in Krakow.
