Research on Entrepreneur Talent Cultivation in Colleges against the Background of Entrepreneurship and Innovation by the General Public

Entrepreneur talent cultivation represents the new trend and direction of talent cultivation in colleges. Masses of entrepreneur talents are needed for existing and future technology progress, social development and the rising of our country. Many college entrepreneurs meet various problems during the entrepreneurial process in the modern entrepreneurial society. Well rounded abilities are requested for entrepreneurial success. Therefore, it highlights the significance of training college entrepreneurs, because it can indirectly stimulate economic growth of the country by supplying entrepreneurial talents. This paper first describes the significance of cultivating college entrepreneurial talents in the context of entrepreneurship and innovation by the general public, then rethinks the problems that confront the cultivation of college entrepreneurial talents, and finally provides recommendations. The first issue of entrepreneurship and innovation by the general public is the supply of talents. Success in entrepreneurship is impossible without innovative talents, and innovative talents cannot be cultivated without innovative education. Core socialist values can hardly be formed if the social youngsters lack professionalism and basic qualities. If the entrepreneurial activities are carried out blindly, it is possible for all of them to end up as failures. To provide good innovative education, we should first reform the education system in terms of teaching philosophies, curriculum, teaching forces and practice, in order to equip 7.3 million students graduating from college each year with fundamental skills and healthy personality. Entrepreneurship and innovation by the general public is a powerful engine for improving the quality and efficiency of the Chinese economy. Talent is the greatest contributing factor to entrepreneurship, innovation, and socioeconomic development. At the starting point of a new historical stage, education should provide sufficient talents in support of the entrepreneurship and innovation initiative. Enhancing college cultivation of talents is practically helpful in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation by the general public under the new situation. In the modern entrepreneurial society, the education system should be able to broaden students' mind, inculcate a sense of diligence, optimism and responsibility into them, and equip them with useful communication skills.
