摘要
This paper discusses the importance of using textual genres in Portuguese Language classes focusing on the continuing training of teachers from the public education system of the state of Bahia. To understand the elucidations present in this study, we seek to understand the didactic work based on textual genres, according to the view of Marcuschi(2008), Soares (2001), Bakhtin (1992), Geraldi (1997), Porto (2009), Oliveira (1997) among others, paying attention to the conceptions of language and the methodologies listed in the pedagogical practice of Portuguese Language teachers. This study is a qualitative research whose method is the case study. As a result, we found that the process of teaching and learning Portuguese will only occur effectively when it is fostered by and based on the use of textual genres, taking into consideration the real context in which social actors interact.
