摘要
The article focuses on the assessment of foreign trade in beet sugar between the Czech Republic and the EU countries, with an emphasis on determining the comparative advantages or disadvantages Czech Republic may have. The paper uses regression analysis methods followed by the Ballasa index, Vollrath index, and product mapping to reveal the comparative advantages. The Czech Republic achieves comparative advantage with the following important partners: Slovakia, Germany, and in some years also Poland. At the same time, the analysis revealed that the Czech Republic is able to achieve comparative advantage when in the position of a net importer.
