摘要
Several recent studies determined the prevalence of asthma in children in Romania. To date there are no National studies on the determinants of asthma development in children. The authors performed a pilot study to evaluate the impact of independent effects of potential determinants from the prenatal and perinatal periods. The two-stage case-control study conducted identified factors with increased risk of childhood asthma and protective factors, respectively. Larger, cohort study using this methodology might represent a feasible tool to assist the National strategy for asthma in children.
