Design and verification of a novel double rotor without stator wind turbine generation system

摘要
The operation condition of wind turbine is complex with frequent load disturbances. However, the traditional rigid connection wind turbine has shortcomings in rejecting impact load disturbance. In this paper, a novel double rotor wind turbine generation system is proposed. Firstly, the concept design of the new system is carried out by adopting the technical route of "double rotor machine + electrically excited synchronous generator", and the main components and structural forms of the system are given. Then, the balance equations of speed, torque and power are derived based on the principles of kinematics and electrotechnics. Finally, the characteristics of the double rotor wind turbine generation system under different wind conditions are analyzed through simulation, where the anti-impact load capacity is evaluated. The simulation results show the superiority of the proposed novel double rotor wind turbine generation system. (C) 2021 The Author(s). Published by Elsevier Ltd.
