Synthesis of mixed higher alcohols over Fe modified Cu/Mn/ZrO2 catalysts by CO hydrogenation

摘要
The effect of Fe promotion on Cu/Mn/ZrO2 For the hydrogenation of CO has been studied. Fe was found to be effective as promoter for Cu/Mn/ZrO2 methanol catalysts to syntheses mixed higher alcohols with a alcohol yield about 0.13 g/ml h and C2+ alcohols selectivity over 37 wt% in total alcohols (at T=280 degrees C,P=6.0MPa,GHSV=4000h(-1)), meanwhile no obvious amount of higher hydrocarbons was observed in the liquid products. The two kinds of mechanism for the synthesis of higher alcohols were proposed to explain the phenomenon.
