摘要
This paper presents an automated design tool for three-phase motor drives. The design tool integrates state-of-the-art design algorithms and component models to reduce paper design efforts for engineers. The converter is optimized for minimum weight considering comprehensive design constraints and conditions configured by users. The software is modular so that some component models can be selected by users based on design speed and accuracy considerations. The user interface (UI) of the tool is developed with the App designer, and both the design algorithms and models are implemented by M-script in MATLAB. Besides, eight databases for components, including devices, passives, and cooling, are built with commercially available products and can be managed by users. The final design results can be visualized in detail. A case study is presented to show how the design tool works.
