摘要
Interactions at interfaces play a pivotal role in the mechanics of fractured materials as well as joint interfaces. Therein, the dry friction and stick-slip effects will serve as essential factors of a certain nature. Here, we focuses on the investigating of transition process from adhesion to sliding between two rough surfaces during reciprocating moving contact. A measurement system for friction damping is designed to identify the key parameters of tangential contact stiffness associated with the transition process. A tangential contact stiffness model is proposed to describe the mating rough surfaces by considering the effect of sticking and sliding. As a result, the tangential contact stiffness can be obtained through the compiled calculation procedure.
