摘要
The investigation of thermal performance in nanofluids and hybrid nanofluids is of much interest due to their multifarious range of applications in the modern technological world. Therefore, a study is organized to investigate the comparative thermal efficiency of nanofluid and hybrid nanofluid synthesized by Cu, Al2O3 and water. The novel effects of combined convection, viscous dissipation and magnetic field are incorporated in the constitutive model. The flow is considered over a wedge which is capable of stretching (lambda>0) and shrinking (lambda<0). The problem is coded in MATHEMATICA 10.0 and then decorated with the effects of pertinent ingrained parameters in the physical ranges. From the results, it is examined that hybrid nanoliquids have high thermal efficiency than conventional nanoliquid due to their high thermal conductance. Particularly, the nanoliquid containing Al2O3 has high thermal performance due to their ultra-high thermal conductivity than the nanoliquid containing Cu particles. The thermal conductivity of Cu is very low than Al2O3, therefore it is examined that the nanoliquid comprising Al2O3 are better for industrial uses due to high thermal enhancement.
