The paper concerns testing the hypothesis about the mean H-0 : mu = mu(0) against the one-sided alternative in normal populations. For the sample size n = 4(1)20, two-sided 95% confidence intervals are given for the probability that the test of size 0.05 detects the difference Delta = vertical bar mu - mu(0)vertical bar.
