Social support and health: An overview of theoretical, conceptual and methodological issues

摘要：
During recent years, interest in the role of social support in health maintenance and disease etiology has increased. The purpose of this article is to consider the process through which social support has a beneficial effect on the well-being of people. The theoretical framework, conceptual models, methodological and related issues are examined.
