摘要
Combining neural behavior under general anesthesia with nonlinear dynamics, a new method to monitor the evolution of brain status during general intravenous anesthesia with Kolmogorov Entropy of EEG is described in this study. The results show: (1) The brain status during adequate (deep) anesthesia determined by KE of EEG is consistent with previous known studies. (2) The same general anesthetic may have different effects on different subjects. (3). For neural electrical activities status, the changes of KE in the symmetrical channels (FP1 and FP2) are almost the same except some small differences in FP cortical area. (4) KE can reflect the neural status of prefrontal cortex during general intravenous anesthesia. It may provide a new method to monitor the brain status during general anesthesia in clinic.
