摘要
Content-based Instruction (CBI) is believed to be effective for teaching English as a foreign or second language (ELT), which helps students acquire new knowledge as well as developing their language skills by learning the meaningful subject content. This paper makes an empirical study on English teaching comparison between CBI and traditional grammar-translation modes in Taihe Middle School, two classes of Grade 2. CBI approach has advantages over traditional teaching one in developing students' integrated English skills, except in grammar.
