摘要
After the terrorist attacks on 11 September 2001, several thousand workers labored for months to evacuate the debris of World Trade Center and clean the site. They breathed a complex dust containing combustion particles and fragments of various construction materials. A study performed 20 months after the event assessed the impact of this exposure. and found the prevalence of respiratory disorders at least twice that of controls.
