摘要
The program of bleeding for disease resistance in apricot started in 1980 at the Research Station for Fruit Tree Growing Baneasa, Bucharest. It is on the verge of combining resistance for more than four diseases and improved fruit quality in the same phenotype. The resistance against Monilinia laxa, Stigmina carpophila, Cytospora cincta, Alternaria tenuissima and no symptom of PPV on leaves and fruits was expressed under artificial infections and also in natural conditions in selections '83.34.6 BI' and '83.34.7 BI'. High fruit quality is expressed at times but does not equal the apricot ideotype. Quality of fruits in the nine resistant selections out of 4690 studied were rated on the basis of international descriptors and of European standards, as being suitable. Average fruit weight varied from 54g in the selection '77.3.60 BV' to 68g in the selections '85.4.104 BIII' and '85.1.96.B III. A new program was instituted in 1997 to improve the resistance to Schizophillum commune.
