摘要
The oxidation of methanol on industrial iron-molybdenum catalysts was investigated in a large temperature interval and feed gas composition close to the industrial one. Strong dependence of the temperature and feed gas composition on the product distribution was confirmed. Separate oxidation of the main by-products was carried out and the results obtained allowed us to propose an extended reactional scheme for methanol oxidation on iron-molybdenum catalysts, including secondary DME oxidation and direct methanol oxidation to CO. Dimethyl ether oxidation on industrial iron-molybdenum catalysts leads to formaldehyde, CO and CO2 formation. This process partially compensates CH2O losses from the secondary formaldehyde oxidation and is the main source of carbon dioxide during the industrial methanol oxidation. CO seems to be the final product of methanol, formaldehyde and DME oxidation and its secondary oxidation in the range of temperature interval investigated is not likely to take place.
