摘要
Several students are increasingly being involved in plagiarizing content from the Web and other sources and turning them in as class assignments. This is a crucial issue in professions such as journalism and information security, which are charged with the protection or safe treatment of intellectual capital. Addressing this problem requires cooperation at every level of education and a specific assessment of institutional commitment to teaching critical thinking and self-expression. classrooms should include discussion of plagiarism, which can ensure that student understand what plagiarism is and how it relates to intellectual property rights. The use of exemplars can also demonstrate the seriousness and reality of the situation to the students. Such efforts can help to establish a systematic approach to both minimize plagiarism and achieve legitimate academic goals.
