Deep survey for carbon stars in the yellow-red spectral region

The results on the deep low dispersion (1250 Angstrom/mm at H gamma) spectral survey of the Milky Way equatorial ten degree belt (30 degrees less than or equal to l less than or equal to 165 degrees, 195 degrees less than or equal to l less than or equal to 210 degrees) are presented. More than 1500 Carbon stars were identified among them 862 new ones. The C/M5(+) ratio in the galactic plane increases from 0.02 to 0.3 when longitude varies from 30 degrees to 210 degrees.
