Research on appointment scheduling model based on medical management

The difference between the system income and the patient's waiting cost, the idle cost and overtime cost as the target utility. The joint planning and scheduling model of the reservation system are established under the fixed length of diagnosis and treatment time. A precise neighborhood search algorithm for optimal scheduling of patients and scheduling is given. Numerical experiments indicate the optimal schedule overbooks the first interval, no-show probability has a significant impact on the overbooking and system performances. Overbooking policy is preferable to mitigate the negative effect of no-show compared to allowing walk-in patients.
