摘要：
Ethyl 2-methyl-4-aryl-5-oxo-1H, 4H-indeno [1,2-b] dihydropyridine-3-carboxylates 4a-h have been synthesized from indane-1,3-dione and aromatic aldehydes in the presence of ethyl acetoacetate, piperidine and ammonium acetate by Hantzsch four component multicentre procedure. These compounds are expected to have anti hypertensive activity.
