摘要
Rapid and effective photoinduced reversible switching is achieved on a novel gold nanoparticle coated by a self-assembled monolayer of a conjugated imine derivative due to trans-cis isomerization of the Cï£N double bond (see picture). No significant decomposition or aggregation of nanoparticles is observed. These highly reversible systems might find application in the design of surfaces with rapid switchable properties. © 2011 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
