摘要
The mechanical behavior assisted by transformation-induced plasticity was studied in an Fe-0.2%C-10%Mn steel. The starting material was subjected to large strain warm rolling at 550 degrees C, which corresponds to two phase region with austenite and ferrite as 50:50. Correspondingly, this fraction of meta-stable austenite was obtained in order to provide the best combination of strength and ductility. The product of ultimate tensile strength and total elongation was 46 GPax% owing to martensitic transformation in the processed steel samples. Almost linear correlation of the magnetic phase fraction and the true strain can be used to monitor the service life of the stressed steel constructions.
