摘要
We propose a novel framework for synchronous collaborative applications. Unlike conventional approaches based on distributed synchronous objects, the proposed framework fully integrates collaborative capabilities such as synchronized URL navigation and collaborative form editing into Web semantics. It is designed to cover a wide range of applications, from straightforward Web page synchronization to complicated Web-based guided transactions. In this paper, we describe its architecture and how it can be used to build commercial systems such as Web-based kiosk systems. A typical application development scenario based on the construction of such systems will also be described.
