摘要
On the basis of the Dar & AmirKhalkhali (2002) model, this paper introduces many other factors, employs fixed effect GLS (Cross-Section Weight)method, and make a research on the relationship between government size and economic growth based on the panel data of 31 regions in China during 1998 and 2008. The empirical analysis result indicating that the relationship between government size and economic growth is uncertain, this deviated from the overall train of thought that streamline government organs in reforming government institutions. As a result, we should better rethink and reorient the strategy of streamlining government organs in reforming government institutions.
