Simplified methods for kinematic soil-pile interaction analysis

摘要
During an earthquake pile foundations are subjected to inertia forces coming from the superstructure and to imposed curvatures by the soil deformations due to the passage of the seismic waves. This paper focuses on the major aspects related to the kinematic soil-pile interaction during earthquake loading. Numerical results using the BDWF model (beam on dynamic Winkler foundation) will be presented to illustrate the key features, of the problem.
