摘要
The advantages of the remote sensing of atmospheric ozone at the millimeter waves are noted, and principles of reconstructing the vertical distribution of ozone in the atmosphere and mesosphere from the shape of its rotational spectral lines are considered. A multichannel 142.2-GHz superheterodyne spectroradiometer developed at the Lebedev Institute of Physics of Russian Academy of Sciences, which implements this measurement method and has been used in recent years for monitoring the ozonosphere over Moscow, is described. Results of measurements are presented to demonstrate the high accuracy and information content of the millimeter-wave remote sensing of atmospheric ozone.
