Ethics, Children, and Biometric Technology

The responsibility of the Department of Social Development in South Africa is to provide an enabling environment to reduce poverty [1], [2]. The first step towards this goal is the introduction of appropriate social policy. According to the Minister of Social Development, the department is determined to protect the most vulnerable groups in society, including the elderly, women, children, and victims of crime.
