摘要
This paper presents a new type of microstrip patch antenna with wide impedance bandwidth and harmonic suppression. The antenna adopts a dual-point feeding method to suppress the generation of high-order harmonics, and expands the impedance bandwidth of the antenna by using parasitic elements. The principle of the harmonic suppression and broadening impedance bandwidth is analyzed in detail, and the performance of the antenna is optimized and verified by simulation. Compared to the traditional microstrip patch antennas with only single-point feeding, this microstrip patch antenna not only can achieves harmonic suppression of 2.8f(0), but also increase the impedance bandwidth from 2.45% to 6.9% with VSWR<2. Simulated results are provided, well verifying the feasibility of the method.
