Modernization of railway transport operational management with information technology

This paper presents the important roles played by information technology in China's railway transport operational management, and the great significance of developing the transport operational integrated information system, such as the transport management information system (TMIS) etc.. This paper also illustrates the constructions of transport operational information system with the introduction of many up-to-date MIS of railway transport and long term plan of China's railway transport operating information systems(OIS).
