The application of wavelet theory in analysis and compensation of harmonics in power systems

摘要
A novel approach to visualise singular signals in faulted power systems is proposed. The wavelet transformation technique is applied to help monitor singular signals in the time dimension. Using the proposed scheme, singular signals in faulted power systems can be closely observed. The proposed method has been tested for the inspection of singular signals in faulted DC systems and of the are signals in grounding fault. The results demonstrate the merits of the proposed method for applications.
