摘要
A p-type segmented FeSi2/Bi2Te3 thermoelectric material has been optimized and the optimal junction temperature has been determined based on estimation and measurement. It was observed that the optimal junction temperature is about 195 degreesC, which corresponds to the segment length ratio 10:1 and the hot-side temperature 510 degreesC for the segmented material FeSi2/Bi2Te3. The maximum power outputs are about 800 (W m(-2)) from calculation and 610 (W m(-2)) from measurement for the optimized segmented materials, respectively, being approximate 1.4 times those of homogeneous materials beta-FeSi2 at the same applied circumstance.
