4-Allyl-2-[1-(5-allyl-2-hydroxy3-methoxybenzyl)-1H-benzimidazol2-yl]-6-methoxyphenol pyridine solvate

The title compound, C28H28N2O4·C5H5N, crystallizes with two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. In both mol-ecules, the benzimidazole ring system is essentially planar and forms dihedral angles of 85.35 (5) and 50.51 (5)° with the two benzene rings in one mol-ecule, and 82.93 (5) and 51.30 (5)° in the other mol-ecule. The hydr-oxy groups are coplanar with the attached benzene rings, whereas the meth-oxy groups are slightly twisted away from the planes of the attached benzene rings. O - H⋯O intra-molecular hydrogen bonds involving the hydr-oxy and meth-oxy groups generate S(6) ring motifs. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked into chains along the [110] direction by O - H⋯N and C - H⋯O hydrogen bonds. © International Union of Crystallography 2007.
